Nadia Matar, originally from Belgium, came to live in Israel in 1984 aged 18. In 1993 together with her mother-in-law Ruth Matar she founded the organization Women for Israel’s Tomorrow (also known as Women in Green). This grassroots organization is devotes itself to the ideal - the Land of Israel belongs to the people of Israel.  Nadia is married and a mother of six, she together with her family she live in the Settlement Town of Efrat in Gush Etzion.

 


 

 

 

Jeremy Maissel, originally from London, England, came to live in Israel in 1984. In his youth Jeremy was active in the Bnei Akiva Movement where he worked as the National Educational Director before moving to Kibbutz Alumim, in Southern Israel, where he is a member to this day, with his wife, Debbie and four children.  Jeremy has B.A. honours in Philosophy and an M.A. in Jewish Education. He worked as the National Meetings Director and International Programs Director for "The Michael Method", an Israeli educational project that enables individuals to fulfill their potential after which he was the Senior Educator in the Overseas Department of Melitz - Centers for Jewish-Zionist Education. As an informal educator, Jeremy is passionately dedicated to Jewish and Israel education.



Michael Lawrence, originally from Wellington, New Zealand, currently living in Israel. Michael is a leading consultant and charismatic speaker on Israeli Public Diplomacy and Current Affairs. Michael is a qualified lawyer both in New Zealand and Israel and was formerly the Co-Director of Nu Campaign an Israeli International Awareness Clothing Campaign. As an independent speaker Michael has appeared across many media outlets and spoken to audiences worldwide.

 


Sheldon Shulman has held senior positions in the Government of Israel, at the Foreign Ministry and as the Director of a Department in the Prime Minister's Office. In the IDF, he served as Assistant Advisor to the Prime Minister on Countering Terrorism for several years, and he continues to serve as a reserve officer. He has been involved in the peace process and with US-Israeli relations, and he has also taught International Law at Tel Aviv University's Law Faculty. Over the years, he has briefed senior members of US administrations, Congress, military and the intelligence community. He was the partner of former US Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge, and was the CEO of two Israeli technology companies, and is an Advisor on international security affairs to a US-based global financial institution, as well as serving as an Advisor to the technology transfer company of one of Israel's major universities.


 

Rabbi Francis Nataf is a respected educator and thinker, well known for his ability to find new ways of looking at Jewish texts and tradition and for his willingness to confront the community's problems head on.  Currently he is the Educational Director of the David Cardozo Academy and has previously held other senior positions in Israel and the United States. Rabbi Nataf received his Rabbinical Ordination from Yeshiva University and also holds degrees in Jewish History and International Affairs. He is the author of Redeeming Relevance in the Book of Genesis and Redeeming Relevance in the Book of Exodus as well as of numerous articles for a variety of important Jewish periodicals and websites. 

 

 


 

on tour Israeli speaker : Yael Unterman

 

 

Yael Unterman was born in Jerusalem, Israel. However she grew up in Manchester, England, and returned to Israel at the age of 18. In addition to spending several years on advanced Torah studies, she holds degrees in BA in Psychology and Talmud, MA in Jewish History and MA in Creative Writing. Yael has numerous roles that include being a Poet, an Author, an Actress, a Life Coach, a Teacher & Lecturer, a Translator & Editor, a Bibliodrama Facilitator and a Creative Writing Teacher. Yael has been a guest lecturer and performer on five continents, and has authored books, stories, articles, original plays and more. Her first book, Nehama Leibowitz: Teacher and Bible Scholar was a finalist in the 2009 National Jewish Book Awards, Modern Jewish Thought category.


Beryl Ratzer, immigrated to Israel 45 years ago. She is a Veteran Israeli Tour Guide, an Historian and an author. She combines her knowledge of Israeli archaeology, geography and history with her great love of the Land of Israel to enrich both tourists and historians alike in their Holy Land adventure.
 

 

 


 

Pastor on Educational Tour of Israel

 

Dr Albert P Nucciarone III, a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, Dr Al Nucciarone pastors the Jerusalem Baptist Church and also teaches at the All Nationa Church in Petach Tikva. He and his wide Billie accepted the call to pastor at the Jerusalem Baptist Church just before Christmas, 2007 after pastoring in Milan for 12 years and in Vienna for 14 years. Pastor Al is also the representative in Israel for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and arranged for players and coached to visit Israel to participate in sports in the Holy Land. Pastor Al works with the Baptist Village Sports camp and the Palestinian Basketball league, but is always ready to bring sport to any venue.

Gershon Baskin Ph.D., is the Israeli Co-Director and founder of the Israel/Palestine Center for Research and Information (IPCRI). He founded IPCRI in 1988 following ten years of work in the field of Jewish-Arab relations within Israel. He has served as the Coordinator of Education between Jewish and Arab Sectors at the Ministry of Education, as Executive Director of the Institute for Education for Jewish-Arab Coexistence and as an outside policy advisor on the Israeli-Palestinian peace process during the premiership of the late Yitzhak Rabin. Dr. Baskin is currently a member of the steering committee of the Palestinian-Israeli Peace NGO Forum, a member of the Board of ALLMEP – the Alliance for Middle East Peace, and a member of the Editorial Board of the Palestinian Israeli Journal. He regularly meets with Israeli and Palestinian policy makers, officials from the international diplomatic community and members of international organizations.

David Bedein, celebrating 40 years in Israel, acts as a living witness to breaking events, working as the Bureau Chief of the Israel Resource News Agency, located in Jerusalem since 1987, and as the director of the Center for Near East Policy Research since 2005. David has overseen investigative studies of the Palestinian Authority, the Expulsion Process from Gush Katif and Samaria, The Peres center for Peace, Peace Noe and many more agencies. David also hosts a weekly podcast, Behind the Scene on Israel National Radio.

Rotem Mor, a native born Israeli. Rotem as student of Middle Eastern Music who has been involved in Social and Peace Activism for many years. At the age of 18 like all Israelis Rotem entered the army however after 18 months he came to the decision that he could no longer serve due to reasons of conscience, for which he was tried and sentenced to 28 days in jail. Rotem currently organises reality tours of Jerusalem providing visitors to Israel with exposer to what day to day life is for both Israelis and Palestinians in Jerusalem and the surrounding areas.  Rotem’s aims to bring an understanding of the Key realities of Jerusalem’s rich and diverse communities through stories that lead to understanding the cultures and people.
